Hydrogenated Styrene-Ethylene/Propylene-Styrene (SEPS) is a novel thermoplastic elastomer obtained by selectively hydrogenating the conjugated unsaturated double bonds in Styrene-Isoprene-Styrene (SIS) block copolymers. Currently, only Kuraray from the United States, Kuraray in Japan, and China’s Balin Petrochemical and Zhejiang Zhongli have industrial production capabilities for SEPS. SEPS exhibits excellent antioxidant properties, as well as outstanding weather resistance, acid and alkali resistance, abrasion resistance, and flexibility, making it superior to conventional star-shaped and linear SIS in practical applications. SEPS has vast prospects in fields such as medical, food, and 5G communication, with significant research value.
