Tetrabenzyl thiuram disulfide is an environmentally friendly rubber vulcanization accelerator with excellent properties, abbreviated as TBzTD. Although it is still a Thiuram class, it has a wide range of applications because of the large molecular weight of the generated dibenzylnitrosamines, which are non-volatile and insoluble in water, and the amount of the product is small and it is non-polar and does not appear in frost spray.
Application:
The purpose of this product is to replace Thiuram accelerators such as WILLINGTMTD, mainly because Thiuram accelerators are prone to produce carcinogenic nitrosamines, and diphenylnitrosamines are not carcinogenic. For NR, SBR, EPDM, NBR system can be used as a rapid primary accelerator or secondary accelerator, than WILLINGTMTD use process is safer and longer coking time, sometimes used in PVC rubber vulcanization inhibitors.
