Characteristic
Chlorophyli is a pigment made from gardenia blue pigment. Chlorophyli has been widely used and is also a food coloring approved for use in China. This product is a light green to dark green powder mixed with gardenia yellow and gardenia blue, easily soluble in water and ethanol aqueous solution, insoluble in organic solvents. Its tone and stability are almost unaffected by pH. Bright color, strong coloring power, light resistance, good heat resistance, tone in the pH4 ~ 8 range of good stability, no precipitation.
Application:
- Food addition, through the study of bioactive substances in plant food, it is found that chlorophyll is a natural bioactive substance, and metal porphyrin, as a derivative of chlorophyll, is one of all natural pigments with characteristics and very wide uses.
- For textiles, the dyeing of textiles with green and pollution-free natural dyes has become the research direction of many scholars. Natural dyes are rarely dyed green, and sodium copper chlorophyll is a food grade green pigment, is a natural chlorophyll derivatives, can be extracted chlorophyll saponification, copper reaction, and then refined, is a metal porphyrin, with high stability, dark green powder, slightly metallic luster.
- For cosmetic use, sodium copper chlorophyll is a dark green powder, tasteless or with a slight odor. Water soluble transparent green, deepening with the increase of concentration, light resistance, high temperature resistance, stable performance. In 1% solution with pH of 9.5~10.2, when pH is lower than 6.5, calcium will precipitate. It is slightly dissolved in ethanol and prone to precipitation in sour drinks.
The light resistance is better than that of chlorophyll, and it decomposes when heated above 110℃. Sodium copper chlorophyll has the characteristics of stability and low toxicity
Chlorophyli has a wide application prospect in frozen drinks, canned vegetables, candy, fruit and vegetable juice baked food, jelly and other foods in China.
